Comparing VPS Hosting versus shared hosting

Shared hosting and VPS hosting have many similarities
The ability to service multiple users from the same ‘space’, be it part of a shared hosting ‘space’ or your own virtual server ‘space’
The ability to provide varying degrees of compartmentalisation between users files, folders and applications
The ability to scale up the size of available space as and when needed in a graduated format
The large relative cost advantage of virtual servers and shared hosting, to dedicated servers
As always the hard decision is always deciding on the various options and weighing the differing merits of having VPS hosting, over shared hosting vis-à-vis the relative differential in price and in making an informed decision.
