An oft heard statement in the world of hosting, so let’s look at it from a different prospective, when would you need it?  As Power costs continue to rise and data centre power consumption becomes more and more challenging more and more people are looking at virtualisation and virtual private servers as a solution.  Unfortunately a lingering scepticism still remains with clients who feel that having their own servers is the safest bet.

For some people this may be the best solution, but for others who may only be using 5 or at most 10% of their peak server needs it may not be the most cost effective solution for them.

As the cost of processing power, and storage come down, and the costs of power keep rising the benefits of a VPS hosting solution is proving to be a better and better option for more and more people and should always be looked into.

    Good post! Dedicated web hosting is expensive and shared web hosting does not enable a client to enjoy benefits as dedicated hosting does. VPS hosting is a mid way between the two, providing the best of both and low cost.
